We are focused and committed to promoting a culture where harm to our people through work is unacceptable. We all take responsibility to achieve this by striving to achieve zero tolerance towards hazards, incidents and accidents to employees, contractors, visitors and members of the public.

We have allocated resources to meet the commitments of our policy and comply with the Act and Regulations with the introduction of an employee elected OH&S representative. He demonstrates leadership with our staff and is vigilant with rules and regulations of the OH&S ACT.

OUR OH&S POLICY INCLUDES

  • JSA and SWMS are completed prior to commencement of each job.
  • Provide and maintain safe work environments, including working conditions, practices and procedures.
  • Continually develop safety awareness, ongoing education and training of all staff, and contractors, in our fortnightly tool box meetings.
  • All employees are provided with the correct PPE equipment.
  • Take all practical steps to eliminate hazards within the workplace through risk identification, assessment, control and monitoring.
  • Continually update and improve our OH&S management system to meet the regulations of the OH&S Act.
  • Keep detailed and up to date OH&S administrative records to support the Act, such as licenses being current and contractors COC’s.
  • Ensure all employees have current white cards and appropriate licences.
  • Obtain special permits where applicable, such as “hot work” and “working at heights”.
  • Incidents are reported/recorded, root causes are identified & where injury or illness occurs we aim to achieve full recovery through prompt treatment & rehabilitation.
