CFM Air Conditioning received a urgent request for HVAC repairs to the Preston Library on behalf of City of Darebin, who has remained a loyal client for over 12 years.
Upon arrival, we found that the old Carrier compressor had failed, with multiple leaks from the gaskets on the compressor heads. We removed the compressor, and fully re-built the compressor, offering a full 12 months parts and labour warranty. These works were a complete system overall, including, replacing multiple solenoid valves, T.X valves, safety and oil pressure switches, drier and drier cores.
As a strong supporter, along side with the Australian government and industry of the global HFC (hydrofluorocarbon) phase-down, we used low-GWP technologies, and then recommissioning with a newer, more efficient and more environmentally friendly refrigeration R438a refrigerant gas (saving the council $10,000.00) in the refrigerant gas costs. We re-attended the Preston Library on a twice daily basis for over a weekly period to ensure the systems operation.
